About Me

IMG-7904_edited.jpg

I am a licensed, clinical psychologist specializing in helping mothers and fathers before, during and after pregnancy, as well as adolescents, adults and couples. Among my areas of expertise are Maternal Mental Health (depression, anxiety, miscarriage, infertility, work/life balance), Adolescents and Adults, and Couples Counseling.  I am experienced with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, intimacy issues, stress management, grief/loss, codependency, self-esteem and life transitions, (for example: high school to college, marriage, divorce, retirement, etc.).

Over the past 36 years, I have worked in a variety of settings including private practice, community clinics, schools, hospitals, and medical practices. In each of these settings my goal has been to help adolescents and adults to solve personal and professional problems. I help them learn skills (which include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, CBT and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, DBT) that have been shown to minimize emotional distress and improve their lives.

I provide support and positive, practical feedback to help clients effectively address their life challenges. My approach is eclectic with techniques tailored to each client. With humor, compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
