About Me

I am a licensed, clinical psychologist specializing in helping mothers and fathers before, during and after pregnancy, as well as a general adult practice. Among my areas of expertise are Maternal Mental Health (depression, anxiety, miscarriage, infertility, work/life balance).  I am experienced with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, intimacy issues, stress management, grief/loss, codependency, self-esteem and life transitions, (for example: high school to college, marriage, divorce, retirement, etc.).
 
Over the past 30 years, I have worked in a variety of settings including private practice, community clinics, schools, hospitals, and medical practices. In each of these settings my goal has been to help women to solve personal and professional problems. I help them learn skills (which include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, CBT and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, DBT) that have been shown to minimize emotional distress and improve their lives.

I provide support and positive, practical feedback to help clients effectively address their life challenges. My approach is eclectic with techniques tailored to each client. With humor, compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
